Into the Unknown - The Great Salt Lake and the Grand Prehistoric Dominion - Gabriel Blackhelm

This wetland area on Promontory Peninsula is enchanting on warm summer nights when the grass is green and with the spring water that meanders through it in diminutive silent streams. A friend wrote something about chasing up fairies in the meadows near his home in the Lake District, and I wasn't sure what he meant, but I think it's a similar type of experience. Promontory Peninsula is a mysterious place having once stood in the midst of vast prehistoric grandeur. Now in a post-winter state the grass stirring in the wind quietly reiterates my own thoughts as each footfall disappears. I stop suddenly and look around as if expecting to see someone - wake up.
